Dana has always loved photography. At age 10 she picked up her first camera and began shooting still life and nature subjects as 4H projects. Throughout her teenage years, Dana shot candids and started developing a unique journalistic style; upon graduating highschool Dana received the gift of her first "pro" camera.
In 2001 Dana moved to New York to pursue photography and life together; she enrolled in study courses with the New York Institute of Photography while working as a nanny to support her dream. After moving back to her Iowa roots, Dana found work with a photo lab as a lab technician...this work helped to shape the photographer eye by focusing more on the editing side of photography.
LiteRite was born in 2003 and is thriving today. Specializing in wedding photography, Dana also takes pride in shooting families, babies & pregnancy, graduation, commercial and stock images.
